Project Cubbins: Hat 341 - Luxe Leather Lid Edition

Day 341 / Hat 341: Leather, baseball-style cap with black leather back and gray suede leather front and bill. Interior taping detail in purple. Additional detail includes two parallel vertical lines (each approximately one inch in length) embroidered in purple on back oh hat just above the adjustable snap thingy.

There are two interior tags. The top one reads: "Gents" on the front and "one size, 100% genuine leather" on the back," and the second one reads: "PO#GEN17834 328, made in China." While a cursory glance at the label's website doesn't turn up this exact two-tone cap, it appears to be similar to this $98 number.

Loaned to the Project by Ingrid "Hat on Hand" Schmidt who has the uncanny ability to produce a piece of headgear every single time she stops by the office.

So I doff the luxe leather lid in 'Grid's general direction for her continued contributions.

Q: OK, nice hat -- but what exactly is Project Cubbins, anyway?

A: One man's homage to Dr. Seuss and his second book, "The 500 Hats of Bartholemew Cubbins," which celebrated the 75th anniversary of its publication in 2013, Project Cubbins is an attempt to document the wearing of a different hat or piece of headgear every day for 500 consecutive days. No do-aheads, no banking of hats, no retroactive entries. PC started on May 27, 2013 with Hat 1
