Day 220 / Hat 220: Silver metallic paper party hat with black confetti design and lettering that reads: "Happy New Year!" Interior tag reads: "Amscan, made in Mexico."
Note the presence of our cat Citrus barely visible in the lower right of the photo - intrigued as she was with the New Year's noisemaker in my mouth. Sometimes we refer to Citrus as "Butterscotch Lightning" because of the speed at which she moves about the place.
Happy New Year to all -- may your 2014 be full of happiness and hats!

Q: OK, nice hat -- but what exactly is Project Cubbins, anyway?
A: One man's homage to Dr. Seuss and his second book, "The 500 Hats of Bartholemew Cubbins," which is celebrating the 75th anniversary of its publication in 2013, Project Cubbins is an attempt to document the wearing of a different hat or piece of headgear every day for 500 consecutive days. No do-aheads, no banking of hats, no retroactive entries. PC started on May 27, 2013 with Hat 1.
