Day 401 / Hat 401: Black plastic cycling helmet with pink allover floral design. Inlaid nameplate on front reads: "Nutcase" and inlaid detail on back that depicts a helmet with the words "I love my brain" above it in green. The same slogan appears printed on the foam padding inserts inside the helmet. Warning note inside stresses (in all caps): "Helmet specially designed for skateboard and pedal cyclist only."
Part of the permanent headgear collection here at the homestead, this is the Bride's helmet for when we (rarely, these days) go toodling around the neighborhood on our bicycles.
And yes, I am a nutcase.
Do I love my brain? Let's just say it's a love-hate
relationship and leave it at that.
Hat-tip to the biking Bride.

A Year Ago Today in Project Cubbins
Q: OK, nice hat -- but what exactly is Project Cubbins, anyway?
A: One man's homage to Dr. Seuss and his second book, "The 500 Hats of Bartholemew Cubbins," which celebrated the 75th anniversary of its publication in 2013, Project Cubbins is an attempt to document the wearing of a different hat or piece of headgear every day for 500 consecutive days. No do-aheads, no banking of hats, no retroactive entries. PC started on May 27, 2013 with Hat 1.
