Project Cubbins: Hat 134 - Flat Hats, Yachts & Mermaids Edition

Day 134 / Hat 134: Flat paper yachting cap with purple bill, white crown, gold military-style brand and leaf design detail and mermaid insignia on front surrounded by gold leaf design. The name "Charlotte Olympia" is in white script across black band just above bill.

This paper hat comes courtesy of the Bride's recently opened post-Paris Fashion Week silo of unopened mail -- it's actually an invitation to a viewing of the Spring/Summer 2014 Charlotte Olympia collection (titled "Overboard!") in Paris.(All those details are printed on the other side of the paper hat).

OK, nice hat -- but what exactly is Project Cubbins, anyway?

A: One man's homage to Dr. Seuss and his second book, "The 500 Hats of Bartholemew Cubbins," which is celebrating the 75th anniversary of its publication in 2013, Project Cubbins is an attempt to document the wearing of a different hat or piece of headgear every day for 500 consecutive days. No do-aheads, no banking of hats, no retroactive entries. PC started on May 27, 2013 with Hat 1

Got hats? If you loan 'em, you'll get e'm back safe and sound!
