Project Cubbins: Hat 168 - Brain Bouquet Edition

Day 168 / Hat 168: Speedo brand swim cap with multi-colored floral embellishments and pink chin strap. Interior printing reads: "Made in Malaysia."

A Sunday / fun day retro-looking piece cribbed from the bride's headwear holdings and photographed during a rare but of hammock time on the sun deck of the Goode Shippe Maryland.

Based on my cursory search of the interwebs, it appears to be similar to this Flower Cap one but for the color of the chin strap (blue online instead of pink) and it appears that the background of the cap online is blue as well -- and the one I'm sporting has the flowers blooming against a white background.

It suits me swimmingly, no?

OK, nice hat -- but what exactly is Project Cubbins, anyway?

A: One man's homage to Dr. Seuss and his second book, "The 500 Hats of Bartholemew Cubbins," which is celebrating the 75th anniversary of its publication in 2013, Project Cubbins is an attempt to document the wearing of a different hat or piece of headgear every day for 500 consecutive days. No do-aheads, no banking of hats, no retroactive entries. PC started on May 27, 2013 with Hat 1

Got hats? If you loan 'em, you'll get e'm back safe and sound!
